Bais Chana Academy High School, in Orange, Connecticut, implemented the Achos program this year which gave students the opportunity to grow and add in their avodas Hashem and hiskashrus, each on their own level with monthly and weekly missions. The program was led by the students for the students.
“As Bais Chana is a school designed for student growth, this was a wonderful chance to watch the girls advance, and most times there was 100% participation,” said Mrs. Mirel Laufer, Bnos Chabad Advisor at Bais Chana. In addition to the ruchnius growth, incentives along the way added excitement and acknowledged the hard work of the students.
All participants were rewarded with a trip to Club Getaway, an outdoor adventure center, where they enjoyed team building activities as well as challenging ropes courses of high and low elements. “As our students challenged themselves to push beyond their comfort zones bruchnius, we felt this would be a fitting reward, giving them the opportunity to push themselves beyond their physical limits,” added Mrs. Laufer. After an exhilarating day, students enjoyed a barbecue at a classmate’s home. A wonderful day was had by all!
Bais Chana is a mainstream Lubavitch high school with a wonderful team of staff members who truly care about each student, making sure they reach their full potential. Our graduates feel the chinuch they receive at Bais Chana infuses them with a love for learning and sets them on a Chassidishe path for life. Bais Chana in Orange, CT is raising the next generation of Lubavitch girls, young women who are happy, have a healthy perspective and an appreciation and love for yiddishkeit.
