A Vaad That Will Care for Our Seniors

Amongst the many segments of our community in Crown Heights that has experienced tremendous growth, B”H, is the 60 and above demographic. The Slate for Vaad Hakohol prepares to pursue areas of funding for them.

Amongst the many segments of our community in Crown Heights that has experienced tremendous growth, B”H, is the 60 and above demographic.

Though, for the most part, this demographic does not have young children living at home and the expenses associated with raising a family, there are many areas of funding that our slate of five Vaad Hakohol/CHJCC candidates intends to make available.

We have already had the privilege to meet with the leaders of other JCCs and learned of the many government programs and funding opportunities that are available for our seniors

Did you know, there are actually senior care grants that allow non-Medicaid eligible households to receive help with everything from cooking and cleaning to rides? There is a plethora of untapped programs available for our parents and grandparents, why should they not be receiving them?

We intend to bring every program available at any level of government and from other sources  to our shechuna.

Most importantly, we will be setting up an easy to use, streamlined process so that these programs and funds can be accessed easily, simply and quickly.
