“One Chasidic saying can enable a true Chasid to experience the pleasantness of the Garden of Eden for many years.”

—Rabbi Shalom DovBer Schneersohn, fifth Rebbe of Lubavitch

Kehot Publication Society is delighted to announce the release of A Treasury of Chasidic Wisdom, a newly translated anthology of brief, illuminating sayings and stories drawn from the Chabad tradition.

Based on the acclaimed Hebrew set Otzar Pisgamei Chabad, this English edition was compiled by Rabbi Eliyahu Friedman of Kiryat Chabad, Tzfat, and translated by Rabbi Aryeh Leib Solomon of Sydney, Australia. Each entry captures a distilled insight—sometimes just a sentence or two—that opens a window into the Chasidic view of life, purpose, and divine connection.

“A Chasidic saying may be short and pithy,” writes Rabbi Eliyahu Friedman, “but it can refine, elevate, and brighten the soul.”

Structured into twelve sections and nearly 100 chapters, the volume covers themes such as Ahavat Yisrael, Prayer, Self-Cultivation, Faith, Joy, and Moshiach. A full glossary of Hebrew terms is included to ensure accessibility to all readers.

The volume is enhanced by an elegant cover and original chapter-heading artwork. These visual elements were designed to give readers an entry point into each section.

“This anthology brings the teachings of Chabad Chasidus to life in their most succinct and accessible form,” explains Rabbi Aryeh Leib Solomon. “It’s a glimpse into a worldview shaped by light, purpose, and joy—conveyed one saying at a time.”

Whether used for personal inspiration, shared at the Shabbat table, or explored in a study group, A Treasury of Chasidic Wisdom offers readers a gateway into the spiritual legacy of Chabad, expressed in its most concentrated and accessible form.

Rabbi Yosef B. Friedman, director of Kehot, sums it up: “This welcome contribution to the growing body of English Chasidic literature speaks to the mind and heart of its readers. These sayings inspire reflection and action. They’re brief enough to be remembered, but deep enough to be transformative.”
