‘A Dollar For Your Future Kallah’
In 5748 (1988), Tzvi Zucker, a young Breslover chossid, traveled from Eretz Yisrael to New York for a shidduch. Before leaving, his father told him to go to the Rebbe for a dollar. In 5748 (1988), Tzvi Zucker, who comes from a Breslover family, traveled from Eretz Yisrael to New York to date a certain girl. Before leaving, his father told him to go receive a dollar from the Rebbe and ask for a bracha.
When he approached the Rebbe, without a word from Tzvi, the Rebbe handed him a dollar saying, “This is for you,” then gave a second saying, “This is for your father who sent you….” and a third: “And this is for your future kallah.”
Though he didn’t end up marrying the girl he came to see, he later married the next one he met – realizing the Rebbe’s words had been strikingly precise.
