Exactly 90 years ago to the day, on 12 Kislev, 5693, the Frierdiker Rebbe summoned his son-in-law, our Rebbe, to tell him about a vision he saw of the Rebbe Rashab the previous night, and how it related to him.
The Rebbe later recorded what the Frierdiker Rebbe told him in his personal diary, which was published decades later as ‘Reshimas Hayoman’.
The following is a free translation of the Rebbe’s record of the Frierdiker Rebbe’s words, published in Reshimas Hayoman page 294.

[In explaining his words, the Frierdiker Rebbe began to explain] “My father [the Rebbe Rashab] told me: ‘Why are you dejected? In your house, a light shines at night.’

[The Frierdiker Rebbe then continued regarding visions of his father] “Generally, I see him wearing Shabbos clothes and a Yarmulke [without a hat].”
