7th Annual ‘One People One Heart’ Event in Seattle

A large crowd of attendees from all over Washington State attended the annual Jewish unity event, entitled “One People, One Heart – An Evening of Unity & Inspiration Commemorating the Teachings & Impact of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.”

A large crowd of attendees from all over Washington State attended this year’s seventh annual Jewish unity event, entitled “One People, One Heart – An Evening of Unity & Inspiration Commemorating the Teachings & Impact of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.” The event was held at event venue Block 41 in Downtown Seattle in honor of the 30th anniversary of Gimmel Tamuz.

The event was presented and organized by the Shluchim of Washington State and created and directed by Rabbi Shmuly Levitin of Chabad of Downtown Seattle.

The Master of Ceremonies was Sheina Matasof of Chabad of Issaquah, Washington. The Keynote Address was delivered by Rabbi Moshe Bryski, an international speaker and Shliach of the Conejo Valley CA, who spoke about the Rebbe’s message of the incredible value of every single Jew and every single mitzvah illustrated powerfully through four incredibly inspiring stories. Acclaimed pianist and Steinway artist Judith Cohen played four niggunim on a grand piano, The Alter Rebbes Nigun, Keili Ata, Ki Anu Amecha & Nejuritzta Chlaptzi.

Two powerful JEM films were played to open the evening, followed by a short prayer service for the protection of the Jewish people in Eretz Yisroel and the world. Rabbi Sholom Ber Levitin, Head Shliach to the state of Washington, said the Rebbes Kapital along with words of welcome and Uri Chotzen, a Seattle native who returned to Eretz Yisroel to fight in the reserves, lead with Kaptal Chof. 

The evening opened up with a reception featuring sushi chef Joshua Roshan and an open bar.
