The family of Rabbi Ariel Rav-Noy a”h is launching a campaign to do 36,000 mitzvos in his memory to mark his 6th yahrzeit this month.
Six years ago the Rav-Noy family was struck with a tragedy that shook Los Angeles and the world at large, with the passing of Rabbi Ariel Rav-Noy, beloved shliach and father of 7, on 8 Shevat, 5755.
“When my uncle passed away, a part of me was lost forever,” Ariel’s nephew told Anash.org. “It was then that I decided that I’m gonna do what it takes to bring him back.”
Ariel a”h was a big communal figure within the Chabad and Persian community. He changed the lives of everyone he met through his tremendous compassion, support, and love for every Yid.
“After his passing, he decided that we won’t let the grief destroy us. Instead, we would use it as a motivation to add in good,” his nephew said. “Our 36,000 mitzvos campaign is to add more compassion, love, and support to the world, the middos Ariel strived in.
Can you do a mitzvah in Ariel’s memory? It can be saying Modeh Ani or Shema with some extra concentration or even as simple as saying good morning or thank you to someone.
