20th Campus Kinus Heading to Eretz Yisrael

For 20 years, the annual Chabad on Campus International Kinus has played a pivotal role in cultivating the Chabad on Campus network. In light of the historic times among Klal Yisrael, the 20th Kinus, to be held this summer, will take place in Eretz Yisrael.

For 20 years, the annual Chabad on Campus International Kinus HaShluchim and Kinus HaShluchos have played a pivotal role in cultivating the unique connection of the Chabad on Campus network of Shluchim and Shluchos. Whether in Connecticut, New Jersey, or Long Island, once a year, they connect and inspire one another, forging and reinforcing a strong sense of unity while gaining tools and insight to bring back to campus.

This year, things have changed.

Since October 7th, the tremendous significance of campus Shlichus – and the unique bond that comes with it – has been amplified. Weathering crisis after crisis on campus, the Chabad on Campus network of over 800 Shluchim and Shluchos has stood steadfast, impacting Jewish life on campus in unmeasurable ways.

This summer, in light of the historic times Klal Yisrael is living through, Chabad on Campus International is bringing the 20th annual Kinus HaShluchim and Kinus HaShluchos to Eretz Yisrael.

“The Shluchim and Shluchos’ intensity and focus is what ensures their success in engaging students with the powerful tools of Shlichus,” said Rabbi Yossy Gordon, CEO of Chabad on Campus International. “This year, with the Jewish world needing their energy more than ever before, hosting the Kinusim in Eretz Yisrael will strengthen them to bring even more energy to their vital work for the Jewish People. We look forward to inspiring one another to strengthen our commitment to our mission on campus.”

“Since October 7, Shluchim and Shluchos on campus, together with their brave students, have been dealing with ongoing belligerence on campus,” said Avi Weinstein, COO of Chabad on Campus International. “The situation in Eretz Yisrael is a major point of emphasis on campuses around the world. This year’s Kinusim in Eretz Yisrael will give Shluchim and Shluchos the opportunity to experience the situation in Eretz Yisrael first-hand, giving them the understanding and insight they need to fulfill their Shlichus to the utmost.”

The Kinusim will provide opportunities for Shluchim and Shluchos to be mechazek their fellow Shluchim and Shluchos on campuses in Eretz Yisrael, as well as the people of Eretz Yisrael as a whole.

Other Kinus highlights will include an inspiring Shabbos in Yerushalayim, visits of support to soldiers, personal and uplifting interactions with people affected since October 7, farbrengens with Rabbanim, Mashpiim, and Shluchim from Eretz Yisrael, and sessions on how the current realities impact campus Shlichus.

“This will be a powerful Kinus for the Shluchim to be on the receiving side and experience the unique opportunities of inspiration and personal connection of the Kinus in Eretz Yisrael!” one campus Shliach enthused.

“I am excited to take advantage of the holiness and ruchnius of Eretz Yisrael,” said one campus Shlucha. “Learning and getting inspired in these different settings, together with fellow campus Shluchos, will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and empower me for my Shlichus. Cannot wait!”
