Mrs. Rochel Baila Lipskar, the matriarch of a large Lubavitch family and longtime nurse at Camp Gan Yisroel NY, passed away on Sunday, 11 Iyar 5784.

Mrs. Rochel Baila Lipskar, the matriarch of a large Lubavitch family and longtime nurse at Camp Gan Yisroel NY, passed away on Sunday, 11 Iyar 5784.

She was 102 years old.

Born to Reb Zalman and Chaya Grunia Duchman, she married R’ Eliyahu Akiva Lipskar. Together, they emigrated from Russia to Toronto, Canada, where they built a Lubavitch home and raised a chassidishe family.

For over 40 years, Mrs. Lipskar served as a dedicated nurse at Camp Gan Yisroel in Parksville, New York.

She is survived by her children: Rabbi Sholom Ber Lipskar of Surfside, Florida; Rabbi Mendel Lipskar of Johannesburg, South Africa; R’ Yossi Lipskar of Miami Beach, Florida; and Mrs. Sheva Schochet of South Beach, Florida, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, R’ Eli Lipskar, and their son, R’ Chaim Tzvi Lipskar, AH.

The levaya will pass 770 on Monday at 1:00 PM with kevura at 2:00 PM.
