Watch: Debuted at the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim banquet, this video tells the story of Shmuly Oirechman, a young Shliach in Tallahassee, Florida, who suffered a severe eye injury at four years old, with dire predictions from doctors. Yet, a clear Bracha and dollar from the Rebbe led to his miraculous recovery.
The Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim of the Shluchim Office releases this year’s inspiring theme video highlighting the remarkable story of a Young Shliach and the profound impact of receiving a dollar from the Rebbe.
Originally debuted at the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim banquet, the presentation introduces Shmuly Oirechman, Young Shliach in Tallahassee, Florida. When Shmuly was just four years old, he suffered a severe eye injury, with doctors predicting there was no hope for recovery.
What unfolded next was an extraordinary story as Shmuly received a clear Bracha and dollar from the Rebbe, leading to his miraculous recovery and empowering him and his father that the Rebbe was with them holding their hand, just like a father to a child.
“This beautiful story demonstrates the significance and power of an item used or touched by the Rebbe,” explained Director Rabbi Mendel Azimov. “This presentation was shown as an introduction to the surprise announcement that each Young Shliach would receive their very own piece of material from the Rebbe.”
Rabbi Shamshi and Mindy Junik generously gifted material used by the Rebbe for every single Young Shliach to take home. This gift is a physical reminder of the message conveyed in the video, that the Rebbe is with them on their Shlichus, and that he cares for his Shluchim with special attention.
The stunning video presentation and heartfelt gift are sure to be a lasting source of inspiration and connection for the Young Shluchim, supporting them throughout their year in their Makos Hashlichus.
The Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim is a project of the Shluchim Office.
