Crown Heights Young Anash Unite for Big Beautiful Siyum
Over 150 young Anash of Crown Heights came together last week to celebrate a grand Siyum Rambam, arranged jointly by the young Anash shuls of Crown Heights – Tzeirei Anash, 94 Shul, Beis Moshe, 96 Shul, and the Mitzvah Center.
The program was masterfully led by Rabbi Achiezer Langsam. The Siyum of the 45th cycle of Rambam was made by R’ Tzemach Diamond, followed by the haschala from Rabbi Peretz Kaplan, who delivers the weekly Gemara shiur every Wednesday night in the Beis Medrash.
Rabbi Mordechai Dinerman then addressed the crowd, speaking passionately about how engaging with Rambam can become a central, thriving part of one’s Torah life. He encouraged the listeners to make Rambam “their thing,” emphasizing that learning Rambam is not merely a task but an opportunity to connect with the Rebbe in a meaningful way.
A highlight of the event was the raffle for a dollar of the Rebbe, open to anyone participating in one of the three Rambam cycles or committed to strengthening their existing learning. The winner of the raffle was R’ Chaim Eli Hertzog. The Siyum concluded with a lively farbrengen, celebrating the completion of Kol HaTorah Kulah.
This Siyum Rambam was made possible thanks to the dedication of R’ Yossi Lefkowitz, R’ Avi Sperlin, R’ Sholom Vogel, and R’ Yossi Rosemberg, who worked tirelessly to create a memorable and inspiring celebration for all the young Anash in Crown Heights.
The Beis Medrash, located at 630 East New York Ave (lower level), is a vibrant Anash community project, uniting 12 Crown Heights shuls and bringing together young Anash from across the neighborhood for shiurim, farbrengens, and communal learning.
The Beis Medrash is alive with Torah learning from Monday through Thursday, 8:00 to 10:00 PM. On Wednesday nights, Rabbi Peretz Kaplan delivers a clear and engaging Gemara shiur from 8:30 to 9:15 PM, while on Thursday nights, Rabbi Mendy Schneur offers a concise Halacha shiur on Hilchos Shabbos at the same time.
On Thursday nights, there is also cholent and l’chaim, creating an inviting atmosphere for anyone who comes to learn throughout the night. All are invited to join and be part of this growing community.
The Beis Medrash is run by R’ Yossi Lefkowitz and R’ Pinchos Gansburg.
