‘You Don’t Need to Be a Rabbi to Save Lives’

After learning about Yiddishkeit, Dr. Brian Levin, a urologist in Owings Mills, Maryland, began to engage patients in his clinic with tefillin and other mitzvos. But he could have never imagined how he would empower his brother to save the life of a stranger.

A special video presentation at the Kinus banquet featured Dr. Brian Levin, a urologist from Maryland, who shared his journey of reconnecting with Judaism through Chabad. Inspired by his local Shliach, Rabbi Nochum Katsenelenbogen of Chabad of Owings Mills, Maryland, Dr. Levin began incorporating mitzvos into his daily routine and even encouraged his patients to do the same.

“Each of us has the potential to impact our surroundings,” Dr. Levin demanded. “By wearing my kippah at work, I realized I could inspire others and bring more kindness into the world.”
