Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh Marks 75 Years

Over 500 people gathered to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Yeshiva Schools and the official launching of a bold strategic planning process which the school is undertaking.

In celebration of this milestone, the Board of Directors has initiated this process to involve the entire community in setting a road map for excellence in education.

In the coming months, the school faculty, parents and key stakeholders will be going through a robust strategic planning process to create the school of the future. Under the leadership of the dean, Rabbi Yisroel Rosenfeld, the process is being facilitated by renowned educator, Dr. George Szymanski, and led by Rabbi Yossi Rosenblum and Mrs. Blumi Rosenfeld.

Mr. Shlomo Jacobs, president of Yeshiva Schools, outlined and explained the process to the audience while Mr. Yosef Hashimi, a proud Yeshiva parent and a Senior VP at IBM, encouraged everyone to be active participants in the process.

The evening also honored the legacy of Herman & Helen Lipsitz A”H. They were philanthropists and proud supporters of the Pittsburgh Jewish Community, whose legacy continues to support numerous causes in the community.
