A new yeshiva was inaugurated this week on Rosh Chodesh Elul in a beautiful rural setting near the Austrian–Hungarian border, just 45 minutes from Vienna’s international airport.
The yeshiva, situated on a sprawling campus covering dozens of dunams and designed “in the spirit of Lubavitch,” offers a tranquil environment away from the noise of the city, while remaining close to the main highway that links Vienna, Budapest, and Bratislava.
Currently, about 25 temimim are enrolled, enjoying high-level Torah study, personal guidance, and the support of a first-rate staff. The facilities include wide green fields and spacious dormitories, with each room accommodating three students and equipped with a balcony, kitchen, shower, and bathroom.
Heading the yeshiva is the renowned educator Rabbi Chaim Fieldsteel, with the devoted shliach Rabbi Shmuel Glitzenstein of Budapest serving as director. The institution functions under the leadership of chief rabbi and dynamic shliach Rabbi Shlomo Koves, who received government approval for the opening of the yeshiva.
The project was first initiated three years ago in Vienna by head shliach to Austria Rabbi Yaakov Biderman, and has now expanded into this permanent, broad campus. The new yeshiva has already become a central hub and source of inspiration for the children of shluchim and Anash throughout Europe.
