Rabbi Yossi Gal, the Chabad shliach to Ramat Gan, visited Kfar HaMaccabiah to offer his condolences to Yarden Bibas, who mourns the loss of his now famous wife, Shiri, and two children, Kfir and Ariel. They were brutally murdered by terrorists in Gaza, a few short weeks after being kidnapped from their home on Simchas Torah.
During the visit, Rabbi Gal presented Bibas with a Chitas with a personal dedication, as well as a dollar from the Rebbe.
Rabbi Gal shared with Yarden that the dollar was given to his in-laws, Rabbi Yekusiel and Rebbetzin Rochel Farkash, who tragically lost three daughters. They asked to pass this dollar on to him as a token of their shared pain and support.
Rabbi Gal also shared the story of his wife’s grandfather, Rabbi Aharon Gershon Farkash, a Holocaust survivor who lost his wife and two children in the war. “He rose from the ashes, moved to Eretz Yisroel, remarried, and built a beautiful family. Today, he has hundreds of grandchildren and descendants,” he told Bibas.
The visit was deeply moving. Rabbi Gal embraced Yarden and wished him comfort and healing, expressing his hope that very soon Hashem will wipe away every tear. Yarden was visibly moved by the gesture and the comforting words.
