Without Legs, Shluchim Join Kinus with Triumphant Dance
In a powerful display of faith and simcha, shluchim who each lost a leg in recent years danced together to the tune of the Kinus Hashluchim Banquet at Assaf HaRofeh–Shamir Hospital, celebrating their mission and hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
As shluchim around the world gather for the International Kinus Hashluchim, an emotional scene unfolded at Assaf HaRofeh–Shamir Medical Center.
Rabbi Liraz Zeira, shliach to Yerushalayim campuses who lost both legs following a severe IDF injury in Syria, and Rabbi Mendy Lichtstein of Chabad Zhytomyr, Ukraine, who recently underwent a leg amputation, joined Rabbi Mendy Beckerman, the Rebbe’s shliach at the hospital, in a spirited chassidishe dance.
To the melody of the Rosh Chodesh Kislev nigun, the shluchim expressed simcha and devotion to their shlichus, even in the face of pain and challenge.
