The winners of a dime and nickel from the Rebbe, set in beautiful pieces of jewelry, were announced by the Crown Heights Women’s Circle.
Turns out, a lot of people want to get nickel and dimed. At least by the Crown Heights Women’s Circle.
Last month, the Women’s Circle ran a successful fundraising campaign in support of its critical community work. A Rebbe dime and nickel, (donated by a member of the Circle), were raffled off with beautiful necklace or bracelet settings donated by Tzfasman Jewelers. Two Circle members, Rivky Dubroff and Miriam Goldshmid, were the thrilled winners of the 11 Nissan drawing.
Even the women who didn’t take home the custom jewelry are winners. The Women’s Circle, active in Crown Heights for the past 11 years, offers weekly classes, special events and yom tov programming, as well as an exceedingly popular annual shabbaton. Its reach extends farther still: the Circle provides its members with emergency funds, meals after childbirth or illness r”l and yom tov stipends.
