Hostages:

– There has been no progress in negotiations. Hamas still wants a complete IDF ceasefire and withdrawal, or nothing.

– Qatar is supporting Hamas in their position, and hosting Hamas leaders. It’s unclear why the U.S. isn’t putting the pressure on Qatar.

Gaza:

– The IDF announced the names of three heroes who fell in battle in Gaza:

Staff Sgt. Itay Parizat, 20, from Petach Tikva

Staff Sgt. Yair Hananya, 22, from Mitzpe Netofa

Cpt. Yarden Zakay, 21, from Hadera, succumbed to wounds from September 17.

– For the first time in 12 days, Hamas successfully launched rockets at Israel. Sirens were triggered in Mefalsim and Sderot. The rockets landed in empty areas.

– Izz al-Din Kassab, a top Hamas official, and one of the last remaining members of Hamas’s political bureau, was eliminated on Friday. Kassab coordinated between different terrors groups, and directed attacks against Israel. His assistant was also eliminated in the airstrike.

– The IDF increased forces in Jabaliya: the Kfir Infantry Brigade joined Givati and the 401st brigades.

– Troops have so far eliminated over 900 terrorists in Jabaliya during the ongoing operation. 700 suspects have been detained for questions, of which over 300 have so far been confirmed to be terrorists, and brought to prison in Israel.

– Troops recently located and destroyed a large Hamas weapons manufacturing plant under Zeitoun, in Central Gaza. It contained hundreds of components used to build rockets, mortars, grenades, and diving equipment (for infiltration attempts), as well as living quarters for long-term hiding.

– The Shin Bet continues to hunt down and eliminate terrorists who participated in the October 7th attack. In the last month alone, Shin Bet-directed attacks eliminated over 250 such terrorists.

– The Biden admin is increasing pressure on Israel to raise humanitarian aid in Gaza, including in areas under mandatory evacuation, before the November 13th deadline, threatening reduced aid to Israel.

Lebanon:

– Hezbollah fired over 130 rockets into Israel today, primarily all over the north, as well as one at the Herzilya area.

– Hezbollah rockets are overwhelmingly harming residents of Arab-Israeli villages. A Friday night attack injured 11 in Tira, after an attack earlier in the day injured a man in Sha’ab.

– On Thursday night, the IDF struck a series of Hezbollah targets in the Dahiya district of Beirut, including weapons manufacturing plants and command centers. More airstrikes were reported on Shabbat day.

– A series of targets were also hit in Nabatiyeh, including command and intelligence infrastructure.

– Hezbollah had thought that Israel would not target Beirut, and therefore hid their most important assets in Dahiyeh. They severely miscalculated, as Dahiyeh now lays in ruins.

– Moein Musa Izz al-Din, the commander of Hezbollah’s coastal regional unit, and Hassan Majed Diab, the commander of the unit’s artillery array, were eliminated in an airstrike the Tyre area. Diab was responsible for the attack that killed a mother in son on Thursday.

– Another airstrike in southern Lebanon eliminated Jaafar Khader Faour, the head of the rocket and missile array in Hezbollah’s Nasr regional division. Jaafar commanded many attacks against Israel, including the one that killed 12 Druze children in July.

– The IDF estimated that around 3,000 Hezbollah terrorists have been eliminated since October 8th last year.

– Shayetet 13 (Israeli equivalent to Navy SEALs) carried out a remarkable smooth operation, and captured Imad Amhaz, a Hezbollah Navy commander. Amhaz was staying in a coastal vacation rental, away from conflict areas. A small group of Shayetet 13 walked into his room, where he was sitting with friends and detained him with no shots fired. The IDF says that Amhaz is a significant source of information, and is now under interrogation.

Iran:

– Iran has not attacked yet, but is still threatening that their attack will be more severe than previously.

– Reports indicate that Iran is coordinating the attack with its proxies, particularly in Iraq.

– While earlier reports indicated that the attack will be before November 5th elections, some suspect that Iran will wait until after.

– America warned Iran that if they attack again, the U.S. will not be able to hold Israel back.

– Israelis are now in the really odd position of hoping that Iran attacks, so that Israel then attacks back heavily and gets rid of the Iranian threat.

– Netanyahu has hinted that he’s playing the long game here, with the goal of killing “the head of the octopus.”

Other:

– The IDF carried out a day-long counterterrorism raid in Tulkarm, Samaria. Four terrorists were eliminated. The IDF released video evidence of the terrorists using a hospital to hide.

– Militia in Iraq have increased attacks to an average of 5 drones daily.
