Hostages:
– Negotiators are working on new proposals, and will experiment with making deals with small groups of Hamas terrorists now that the leadership is mostly gone. Offers include immunity, a one-way trip out of Gaza to a different country, and a huge cash sum.
Gaza:
– The IDF announced the name of a fallen hero: Staff Sgt. Yishai Mann, 21, from Mitzpe Yeriho. He was killed in a military-related car crash near the Gaza border.
– The IDF named 18 Hamas and PIJ terrorists which were eliminated in an airstrike on a former school in Northern Gaza on Thursday. The terrorists were using the school as a command center, from where they fired rockets at Israeli civilians, and were preparing more attacks. Media in Gaza reported 24 fatalities in the strike.
– The IDF extended mandatory evacuation warnings to Beit Lahiya (which was already under warning several times) in Northern Gaza. This time most civilians appear to have immediately complied.
– Due to the Biden administration’s demand, Israel has increased aid to areas in Northern Gaza that are under mandatory evacuation warnings. The Shin Bet is very against it, and says Israel should limit aid to these areas, in order to pressure the remaining Hamas members into a hostage deal. 230 trucks have been delivered to the area over the last week.
– Despite challenges from the U.S., Israel appears to be going ahead with the “General’s Plan,” starting by fully emptying out Northern Gaza—first of civilians, then of terrorists and their infrastructure.
Lebanon:
– Heavy Hezbollah fire continued, with large barrages of rockets past Haifa, and five missiles at the Tel Aviv area. Most were intercepted or landed in empty areas. One man was lightly injured in Northern Israel.
– The IDF announced the names of two fallen heroes:
Master Sgt. (res.) Saar Eliad Navarsky, 27, from Tel Aviv.
Maj. (res.) Aviram Hariv, 42, from Dolev.
Eliad was killed in a rocket attack on an IDF position in Northern Israel. Three other soldiers were seriously wounded in the incident.
Maj. Aviram Hariv was the rabbi of the Dolev girls’ school.
– Overnight airstrikes in Beirut includes: a Hezbollah naval base, underground weapons depots and command centers, and other Hezbollah infrastructure.
– Other overnight airstrikes: three command centers belonging to Hezbollah’s Unit 127, responsible for drone attacks on Israel.
– Evacuation warnings and airstrikes in Beirut continued today, primarily on buildings containing or hiding weapons depots.
– The IAF also struck around a dozen Hezbollah targets in Tyre, Southern Lebanon, and other airstrikes providing support to troops on ground.
– Hezbollah shot down an IDF Hermes 450 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over Lebanon today. There’s no risk of sensitive information leaking in the UAV.
– The chief of the IDF Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin, says that all areas troops entered on ground have already been defeated, and most of Hezbollah’s brigade commanders have already been eliminated for the third time.
– IDF Spokesman in Arabic Avichai Adrei gave specific directions on how to find the door to Nasrallah’s bunker, underneath the Al-Sahel hospital in Beirut. After the hospital director denied its existence, a Lebanese reporter said he tried to access it, but there were guards blocking entry. The bunker contains $500M.
– The IDF confirmed that Nasrallah’s successor, Hashem Safieddine, was eliminated in an airstrike on Beirut earlier this month, along with 25 other senior Hezbollah terrorists.
Iran:
– The Shin Bet and police announced: Seven Palestinian men from East Jerusalem were arrested for allegedly plotting to assassinate an Israeli scientist and a city mayor on behalf of Iran. This is the latest in a series of disrupted Iranian espionage and attack attempts.
– U.S. is putting immense pressure on Israel to tone done the attack on Iran. Signs point to Israel not doing that.
– The U.S. doubled the amount of THAAD missiles sent to Israel.
– Everything is in place and ready for the attack now. Israel appears to be in no rush, but will do it when the timing is right, and that is likely very soon.
