Sukkos edition, with just the most important information:

Hostages:

– Mossad chief went to Egypt to talk about reopening negotiations.

– Israel is also looking at the prospects of separate negotiations with separate Hamas groups, which may have divided opinions now that Sinwar is gone.

Gaza:

– Legendary commander of the 401st Armored Brigade, Col. Ehsan Daqsa, fell in battle in Northern Gaza. Daqsa was hit by explosives while he was leading his brigade in Jabaliya. Daqsa, 41, from the Druze town of Daliyat al-Karmel, was decorated with a citation for heroic action in the Second Lebanon War, and is one of the highest-ranking commanders to fall in battle in Gaza.

– As fierce battles continue in Jabaliya, hundreds of civilians have finally recognized that it’s over for Hamas, and began evacuating to the humanitarian zone.

Lebanon:

– Hezbollah fired around 200 rockets today, with near nonstop fire in the border area, and the furthest rockets reaching just lay Haifa. Thank G-d, no physical injuries were reported.

– This morning an airstrike in Beirut targeted a Hezbollah intelligence command center and underground weapons manufacturing site.

– Air strikes in southern Lebanon eliminated three prominent Hezbollah terrorists.

– In the evening, the IDF began a new phase of the war, striking Hezbollah’s financial assets.

– The IDF first issued evacuation warnings for 24 locations, mostly in Beirut. These primarily included Hezbollah’s banking association (Al-Qard al-Hasan), which is disconnected from Lebanon’s bank.

– Hezbollah uses this bank to pay its army, and purchase its weapons. Surrendered Hezbollah terrorists already told Israel that most “fighters” are only in it for the salary.

– Airstrikes began late Sunday night, and included the collapse of Hezbollah’s banking association’s main building.

– The IDF is giving little detail about troops maneuver inside Lebanon, so as to keep Hezbollah disheveled. Troops are making good progress in southern Lebanon, thoroughly clearing Hezbollah infrastructure.

– Iranian media reports that Hezbollah’s new leader (Hassan Nasrallah’s former deputy), Naim Qassem, is moving the terror group’s headquarters to Tehran.

Iran:

– The “Alhurra” channel reports that Arab countries, particularly Gulf countries, have contacted Israel, encouraging a strong blow to the Iranian Regime.

– Attack preparations are already in motion.

– Israel is preparing a very strong attack, and therefore expects a strong response from Iran. Before launching the attack, Israel is boosting defense systems. To back up the Arrow (which intercepts ballistic missiles outside the atmosphere), the U.S. Army will be operating a THAAD missile defense system, which has now completed setup in Israel.

Other:

– An attack drone from Iraq hit an open area in the Golan Heights.

– IDF troops foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons into Israel from Egypt, via a drone. Troops fired at the drone, knocking it down, and found that it had been carrying eight handguns and magazines.

– A drone coming from Syria was intercepted before entering Israeli airspace.
