Hostages:

– About 50 hostages are estimated to still be alive, but in difficult conditions.

– Negotiators have not heard from Sinwar in over a month.

– The hostages are being kept under guard by Hamas terrorists with instructions to murder if the IDF nears.

Gaza:

– Hamas fired rockets at Ashkelon today. Most were intercepted, the remaining landed in an empty area. No physical injuries reported.

– Sgt. First Class (res.) Nir Hadad, 28, succumbed to his wounds after being seriously injured in battle on June 15th.

– The IDF expanded the humanitarian zone in the southern part, and called for civilians to evacuate all of Northern Gaza, until the Netzarim Corridor. Civilians were already instructed to do this a year ago. It is unknown if these evacuations are simply for short-term operations, or if the IDF is preparing to implement “The General’s Plan.”

– The IDF’s 162nd Division began a new operation in Jabaliya, Northern Gaza. This division was previously in Rafah and the Philadelphi Corridor, which they now handed to the Gaza Division for long-term control.

– Hamas planned major rocket attacks in Israel to mark October 7th. IDF operations foiled most of the attack, but some can still be expected tomorrow. Hamas is estimated to have a few hundred rockets remaining (barely a fraction of what they started with), and is keeping them for “times of need.”

Be’er Sheva:

– A terrorist killed one person, and injured 10 others in a combined shooting and stabbing attack in Be’er Sheva’s Central Bus station.

– The fallen hero is named as:

Sgt. Shira Suslik, 19, a border police officer from Be’er Sheva

Lebanon:

– Hezbollah fired over 120 rockets at Israeli communities today, the furthest reaching just past Haifa. Most were intercepted, some rockets landed. A man was wounded in Ma’alot-Tarshiha. A barrage of five rockets evaded air defenses in Haifa this evening, miraculously only five people were wounded, none seriously. One person was seriously injured in Tiveria.

– The 98th and 36th Divisions are widening operations in Southern Lebanon. 25 additional villages in the area were instructed to evacuate. Troops are locating and destroying tunnels. They are also locating weapons—far more than expected, and often spread between every home, similar to Hamas’s style in Gaza (but again, incomparably more weapons).

– The IDF is giving very limited information on activity and location of the troops, likely to keep Hezbollah and their helpers in the fog. Reports on ground indicate very intense battles in some areas.

– In certain areas, UNIFIL troops are refusing to evacuate—particularly in areas operated by Ireland. They do not prevent Hezbollah from controlling the area or firing at Israel, but are making it challenging for the IDF to advance.

– The IAF is continuing to hit dozens of Hezbollah targets in southern Beirut (primarily in Dahiya, a Hezbollah stronghold). When targeting munitions, and not Hezbollah leaders, the IDF delivers evacuation notices in advance, to everyone within 500 meters of the planned strikes. Huge secondary explosions are seen after the strikes.

– The IAF is also striking targets in Syria, mostly from where munitions are smuggled into Lebanon.

Iraq:

– Two drones from Iraqi militia were intercepted above the shores of Tel Aviv.

Iran:

– Esmail Qaani, the commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force (the Iranian regime army) might have been eliminated in Lebanon. Reports indicated that he may have traveled to Lebanon to meet with Nasrallah’s successor, Hashem Saffiedine, and was then hit together in Saffiedine’s bunker under Beirut. This has not been confirmed, as no one has been able to reach their bodies. But no one has heard from Qaani since the strike.

– The Israeli military is planning its attack on Iran together with United States CENTCOM chief Gen. Michael Kurilla, who IDF chief, Gen. Herzi Halevi, views as a true friend.

– Reports that the U.S. offered Israel “compensation packages” to avoid hitting certain sensitive targets in Iran.

– Israeli official says everything is still in the table, including Iranian nuclear sites.
