Hostage Updates:

The White House announced that President Biden spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu, and VP Harris also joined the conversation. President Biden wrote: “Today I spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding U.S. efforts to support Israel’s defense against threats from Iran and its proxy terrorist groups. I again made clear that we must bring the ceasefire and hostage release deal to closure and discussed upcoming talks in Cairo to remove any remaining obstacles.”

According to an Axios report, Biden is pressuring Netanyahu to “be more flexible” on the issue of the Philadelphi Corridor (Gaza-Egypt border). Both Hamas and Egypt don’t want the IDF there, and Egypt is one of the negotiation mediators.

An Egyptian source told media that Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar, known for championing martyrdom in the fight against Israel, is asking for guarantees that he won’t be assassinated, as part of the hostage deal.

The parents of hostage Hersh-Goldberg Holin spoke at the DNC. In their speech, Hersh’s father, Jon Holin, said Jon Polin, said, “This is a political convention, but needing our only son and the cherished hostages home is not a political issue. It is a humanitarian issue.”

Iran & Proxies Attack Updates:

Iran is still threatening, but has hinted that they’re in no rush. Israel and U.S. defenses are still on high alert, and today the American aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln,” arrived in the Middle East.

Gaza Front Updates:

Hamas did not successfully fire any rockets into Israel today.

Thank G-d, the IDF did not announce any fallen heroes today!

Four divisions of IDF troops are currently operating in Gaza: the 252nd Division along the Netzarim Corridor, and on pinpoint operations in Central and Northern Gaza; the Gaza Division in the buffer zone; the 98th Division in Khan Younis, Hamad, and Deir al-Balah; and the 162nd Division in Rafah and along the Philadelphi Corridor. Troops eliminated dozens of terrorists and the IAF struck over 30 terror targets in Gaza over the last day, including rocket launching sites, tunnel shafts, and gatherings of armed terrorists.

The IDF carried out a precision airstrike against yet another Hamas command room which was embedded inside the Sala ad-Din school in Gaza City. As usual, the IDF went to great lengths to minimize risk to civilians, despite the neighborhood already being under strict evacuation warnings.

As troops advance in Deir al-Balah, the IDF called for further evacuations of areas previously part of the humanitarian zone. The IDF published maps of the updated zones, and warned civilians that the area will quickly become a dangerous combat zone. This is the first time the IDF is operating in this area, and it is the last undefeated Hamas brigade.

In Khan Younis, troops are very quickly regaining operational control, and advancing northward.

In Rafah, troops continue to advance and eliminate dozens of terrorists in the Tel Sultan neighborhood, while destroying Hamas sites, and locating weapons and tunnels.

Defense Minister Gallant announced that the IDF has destroyed over 150 tunnels along the Philadelphi Corridor, and that Hamas’s Rafah Brigade is now defeated.

Gaza Humanitarian Efforts Updates:

175 trucks carrying humanitarian goods were transferred to Gaza yesterday, of those, 54 aid trucks were coordinated to northern Gaza.

About 470 trucks worth of aid are waiting for collection by UN aid organizations.

6 gas tankers and 6 tankers of fuel designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza, entered Gaza yesterday at the request of recognized aid organizations.

12 bakeries are operational (6 in northern Gaza and 6 in central Gaza), producing close to 3 million pita loaves a day.

Northern Front Updates:

Hezbollah in Lebanon has been firing extremely heavily, at what may be the biggest escalation yet for the north, with around 150 rockets, missiles, and attack drones in 12 hours, including a heavy barrage of 50 rockets on the (not evacuated) town of Katzrin. While most missiles were intercepted, several impacted the town, making direct hits on at least two occupied homes, and starting multiple fires. One man in his 30s was moderately injured by shrapnel from a rocket which hit his home.

Residents of the far north were instructed to stay near shelter through the day and night.

The IDF confirmed that overnight Tuesday-Wednesday, it struck multiple Hezbollah weapons depots and a site used by Hezbollah’s air defense unit, deep in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley.

Today the IDF struck a large number of Hezbollah sites in Southern Lebanon, and eliminated a few terrorists.

In an airstrike near Sidon, a coastal Lebanese city, the IDF eliminated Fatah official Khalil Makdah, who works with the IRGC (Iran) to transfer money to terror cells in Judea and Samaria, in order to advance attacks on Israel.

Now that the IDF has wiped out most of Hamas’s battalions, the focus of the war can be expected to slowly turn northward.

Judea and Samaria Updates:

The IDF is currently active on counter-terrorism operations in Tulkarm.

Houthi & Iraqi War Front Updates:

In the past 24 hours, U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) forces successfully destroyed an Iranian-backed Houthi surface-to-air missile and radar system in a Houthi-controlled area of Yemen.

General Updates:

The Ministry of Defense has signed a deal worth about NIS 86 million with the company ‘Eshat Ashkelon’ to produce and supply important parts for Merkava tanks and Tiger APCs. This deal is part of an effort to improve land maneuvers, and support local industries. It also includes buying spare parts and repairing advanced systems to keep the IDF functioning well for a long time. This transaction is one of several aimed at meeting the IDF’s current and future operational needs.

We appreciate your feedback. If you have any additional information to contribute to this article, it will be added below.

  1. I think it’s from the IDF’s website, Israeli news channels and social media. When it differs from this, she specifies her source of information. She also deals with the soldiers (have you donated yet?) and learns about the latest operations from them.
