Hostage Updates:
The mother of hostage Matan Zangauker released a new video uncovered by the IDF last week. In the video, which was taken on October 7th, civilians in Gaza can be seen and heard, celebrating and cheering as Matan is driven by terrorists on a motorcycle through Khan Younis.
According to reports, Israel’s negotiating team is expected to have delivered its final offer to Hamas through Egypt tonight, or by morning. Leaks from Egypt indicate that Israel has been “very generous” in its offer to evacuate critical areas.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant today said that the negotiations include “risks in diplomatic moves as well,” which he says Israel will know how to handle, and that Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit to the U.S. is “very important… for all of us.” Gallant also assed that the IDF is nearing the conditions needed to defeat Hamas, and to reach a deal to release the hostages, and that if there is a temporary ceasefire or truce, the IDF “will know how to return to fighting.”
Brigadier General Ofer Winter, who is being retired from the IDF, published harsh criticism of the negotiations, saying that the leader of Hamas in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, received the global status of a kind of modern Saladin, due to the very fact that Israel is negotiating with him and conceding to his demands in order to free the men and women he took hostage. Winter says that the current method of operation will put Israel in a worse state than it was before the war.
Gaza Front Updates:
Hamas fired one round of rockets at Kibbutz Nirim, Nir Oz, and Ein Hashlosha— communities bordering Gaza, near Khan Younis. No physical injuries were reported.
Thank G-d, the IDF did not announce the names of any fallen heroes today.
Four divisions of IDF troops are currently operating in Gaza: the 98th Division in Khan Younis; the 99th Division along the Netzarim Corridor, and in southern neighborhoods of Gaza City; The Gaza Division in various areas in Gaza on pinpoint operations, and in the buffer zone; and the 162nd Division in Rafah and along the Philadelphi Corridor.
The IDF says that it has identified a location in central Gaza’s Maghazi, from where Hamas terrorists attempted to fire rockets at Israel—which then fell short and landed in Gaza, one of them hitting a school in Nuseirat.
Over 50 terror sites were destroyed in Khan Younis via airstrikes and artillery, including weapon depots, sniper positions, infrastructure used by Hamas, and tunnels. Troops are battling Hamas in Khan Younis both above and below ground, in intensive combat, and have eliminated several armed terrorists who have been trying to regroup in the southern Gaza city.
In Rafah, troops also faced Hamas terrorists up close, and eliminated dozens both directly, and by calling in airstrikes.
Gaza Humanitarian Efforts Updates:
207 humanitarian aid trucks were transferred to Gaza today. Trucks arrived from Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and the Ashdod port, and entered Gaza via the Kerem Shalom (156) and Erez (51) crossings.

10 tankers of fuel and 6 tankers of cooking gas designated for the operation of essential infrastructure were transferred to Gaza today, meeting requests of humanitarian aid organizations.

Northern Front Updates:
Hezbollah fired heavily today, with drone attacks triggering sirens deep into the Upper Galilee. No physical injuries were caused, but homes were damaged, and several wild fires were started. The fires were put under control shortly before 8pm.
The IDF struck several Hezbollah terror sites in Southern Lebanon, including a car full of Hezbollah terrorists, and a direct strike on a terrorist shortly after he launched a rocket.
Meanwhile, the IDF also confirms it struck a car in southern Lebanon’s Shaqra earlier today, saying several Hezbollah operatives were in it.
The Minister of Education, Yoav Kish, spoke with the heads of regional councils (mayors) of the evacuated communities from the far north, and told them that unfortunately, they will not be able to start the school year back at home, due to the security situation. The minister added, “This is an unfortunate decision that was imposed on us and is accepted with a heavy heart. I once again call on the Prime Minister and the heads of the security establishment to act now and strongly against the state of Lebanon – there is no escaping the decision to wage a massive war against Lebanon in order to restore peace and stability to the residents of the north and for the future of the State of Israel.”
According to a report in the New York Times, Hezbollah is ready to stop firing rockets into Israel if it stops the war with Hamas in Gaza. Both sides have expressed a willingness to begin negotiations for an official cease-fire, according to three Western sources who received information about the parties’ positions, and an Israeli official. The sources say that the negotiations will focus on the withdrawal of Hezbollah terrorists from areas in Southern Lebanon, and the deployment of additional soldiers from the official Lebanese army. In addition, the talks will deal with the marking of the western border between the two countries, which has never been officially marked, due to the lack of diplomatic relations between Israel and Lebanon.
Houthi & Iraqi War Front Updates
The US and UK armies hit Houthi military targets in Yemen this afternoon.
Judea and Samaria Updates:
Six terrorists, including two senior terror commanders, were eliminated in an airstrike in Tulkaren, Tuesday morning. The IDF had lured the commanders to the location ahead of the strike.
The commanders are identified as Ashraf Nafeh, the head of Hamas in Tulkarem, and Muhammad Abu Abdo, the head of the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades in Tulkarem. Also amongst those killed was a female gunman who was dressed up as a medic while yielding a large weapon.
The IDF and Shin Bet say that the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade are increasing efforts to carry out attacks from the Judea and Samaria region. The militia is working in coordination with several terror groups, including Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, Hamas and Fatah, as well as unaffiliated actors, and is funded by the Iranian regime. Israel’s security establishment is on high alert, and working to quell the threat.
In a separate incident, to employees of the Defense Ministry were lightly wounded while on patrol along the border fence in the Mount Gilboa area, by shrapnel from a bomb placed along the barrier.
