As Tzeirei Hashluchim celebrated at their own Grand Banquet, they enjoyed two special video presentations about their fellow young shluchim.
The banquet program began with a humorous video following Mendy, who attempts to make his way to the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim. His journey takes many twists and turns as he is faced with many obstacles and challenges. The comedic video built up the excitement and suspense of the highly anticipated banquet.
Later in the program, the young shluchim watched a beautiful story unfold, bringing out the theme of this year’s kinus. The theme of this year – ונפלינו, focused on the joy that a young shliach has on shlichus when he appreciates the special connection he has with the Rebbe.
Joshua Jeross is a child living in Reno, NV, when he starts to attend preschool at Chabad. There, he meets Dovid Cunin, a young shliach his age, and slowly, they become best friends. Just by being himself, behaving as a young shliach naturally does, Dovid has a tremendous impact on Joshua’s entire family. Throughout the years that follow, they become closer and closer to Yiddishkeit, eventually becoming completely frum and moving to a Jewish community.
The videos were produced by the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim, a project of The Shluchim Office. Many thanks are due to Avremi Baron, Shmuly Gniwisch, Mendel Goldman, Berele Sasonkin, and Avi Winner who put in many hours of dedicated work to make the presentation. A special thank you also goes to the Jeross family of Teaneck, NJ and the Cunin family of Reno, NV.
