In a podcast interview, Rabbi Shmuel Lew, veteran Shliach and longtime educator in London, England, shares his journey from Torah Vodaas to becoming a Chossid, along with heartfelt stories illustrating the Rebbe’s personal care and involvement in every aspect of his life over many years.
Having grown up in Williamsburg, New York, in a traditional Jewish family, he attended Yeshiva Toras Vadas. At age 15, he attended Camp Agudah, where he met Chabad chasidim and began studying Tanya, leading to a turning point when he participated in a farbrengen with the Rebbe. Over the next two years, he became increasingly involved with Chabad, attending farbrengens, studying Chassidus, and deepening his hiskashrus.
He recounts his many yechidus’n with the Rebbe, during which he received detailed guidance, and shares his perspectives on chinuch drawn from his decades of experience as a mechanech.
