In honor of Sukkos, SchmoozeCards.com has released a series of Ushpizin poems that can be printed and enjoyed with kids each day of Sukkos. The poems, highlighting the classical and chassidishe Ushpizin, are both fun and educational.

In honor of Sukkos, SchmoozeCards.com has released a series of fun Ushpizin poems that can be printed and enjoyed with kids each day of Sukkos.

There is a poem each day for that day’s ushpizin. The trick is that each line has a spot for the reader to pause and the kids (and adults) can call out the next word.

Leader reads each verse aloud, pausing for the participants to call out the final word in brackets.

Day One: Avraham and the Baal Shem Tov

Every day of Sukkos, we celebrate with joy and zest

And each night we invite in another special [guest]

The first visitor whom in we usher

Was known as a child as an idol [crusher]

Avraham welcomed guests from near and far

His tent had four doors, just like a [car]

Everyone could come for a snack and a rest

As long as in the end, Hashem was [blessed]

The other visitor whom we invite today

Was known in his youth as a digger of [clay]

His service of Hashem was warm like a stove

Today’s Chassidishe ushpiz is the Baal Shem [Tov]

He taught us to love every single Jew

Even if they know much less than [you]

If there is one lesson our guests can leave behind

It’s that we should all be very nice and [kind]
