US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry Visits the Kosel and the Western Wall Tunnels Sunday morning, to begin his official and first visit to Israel.
Secretary Perry was accompanied by Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, Israel’s Minister of Energy Yuval Steinitz, Rabbi Levi Shemtov, Executive Vice President of American Friends of Lubavitch in Washington, DC.
Perry, who previously served as Governor of Texas, was a strong friend of Chabad and is known for his strong support of Israel.
The Secretary noted the strong partnership between the United States and Israel and said, “This is a monumental moment for me and for my wife; being here is amazing. I hope our future will be as strong as our history.”
