The final week of Camp L’man Achai was filled with excitement, inspiration, and meaningful moments that perfectly capped off an extraordinary summer.

The teenage division embarked on a thrilling three-day trip to the Niagara Falls region, beginning with a scenic hike at Watkins Glen and continuing on to unforgettable adventures – from jet boating and the iconic Maid of the Mist to group dancing at the Falls and a day at Six Flags. Along the way, campers got to experience and join the work of the local Chabad Houses, turning the trip into a celebration of Jewish pride.

While the teens were away, the younger divisions enjoyed their own action-filled trip to a trampoline park, a hike through a nearby state park, and a creative “Kosher Hunt” at Walmart – turning everyday activities into lessons in Jewish awareness and values.

Back at camp, the final days were packed with sports championships, activities, and a grand mountain hike to a 100-foot fire tower with breathtaking views – a fitting metaphor for the campers’ spiritual and personal growth throughout the summer.

The season closed with a campwide bonfire, BBQ, and banquet filled with singing, dancing, and inspiration. Many campers took on hachlatos, from saying Shema nightly and davening more consistently to putting on tefillin and even exploring enrollment in Jewish schools.

Even as the buses rolled out, the spirit of camp continues – with plans already underway for a post-camp Shabbaton to keep the spirit alive.

Because at Camp L’man Achai, the summer may end, but the journey is just beginning.
