Tuesday Night: Community-Wide Safety Training

The event, titled “Your Role in Community Safety,” will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 7:30 to 8:30 PM (ET), with doors opening at 7:15 PM. It will be held in person at 935 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, with a live Zoom option available for those who prefer to join remotely.
Organized as a community-wide initiative, the program emphasizes that every individual has a role to play in keeping the neighborhood safe.
The training will cover three key areas:
- Your Role in Community Safety
Understanding how every community member can play an active and meaningful part in maintaining a safe environment. - Situational Awareness — The Basics
Learning how to recognize potential threats before they develop, read your surroundings, and respond with confidence. - The Benchmark Shul Standard
A practical framework outlining essential safety protocols, procedures, and physical security measures every shul and communal space should implement.
The session will be led by Community Security Service (CSS), whose instructors bring extensive experience in communal security, threat assessment, and emergency preparedness for Jewish communities across North America.
