On Yud Beis Tammuz, the Chag HaGeulah of the Frierdiker Rebbe, a special Chabad custom appears in Sefer Haminhagim: to participate in the magbis initiated by the Rebbe in honor of this day.

Already in his first year of leadership, the Rebbe established the Reshet Oholei Yosef Yitzchok educational network in Eretz Yisroel, naming it after his father-in-law, the Frierdiker Rebbe. From that year on, every Yud Beis Tammuz, the Rebbe would hold a public magbis during the farbrengen, encouraging all Chassidim—including children—to participate. No amount was too small, and the Rebbe offered powerful blessings to all who gave, health, wealth and protection!

One such blessing reads:
“For your generous contribution to Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch, may the Almighty bless you with long life, abundant nachas, and happiness.”
(Letter, 28 Adar I, 5711)

As the Rebbe himself did: The names of all donors will be mentioned at the holy Ohel.

Take part and be blessed!

Today, this custom continues through the Rebbe’s magbis campaign for Reshet Oholei Yosef Yitzchok. This expansive network now includes over 600 schools and serves more than 40,000 children across Eretz Yisroel, offering authentic Chassidishe education rooted in the Rebbe’s vision for Jewish life and learning.

The Reshet encompasses a range of school systems designed to meet the diverse needs of Jewish families across Eretz Yisroel. It includes Gan Chabad, a rapidly expanding preschool network that opened 36 new locations in just one year; Beit Chinuch Chabad, which serves children from frum homes; and Talmud Torah Chabad, catering to Lubavitcher families. One of the most impactful branches is Shalhavot Chabad, which provides high-quality Jewish and general education to the broader Israeli public. These schools stand out for their warmth, creativity, and deep commitment to Jewish values, and remarkably, they now represent 10% of all new schools opening in the country.

This growth is no coincidence. As Israeli state schools move further toward multicultural and secular ideologies, many parents are searching for alternatives that reflect their Jewish identity and values. Shalhavot Chabad schools offer exactly that—education that is deeply Jewish, deeply loving, and deeply impactful.

“The Reshet is not just another organization meeting a narrow need,” explains Rabbi Eliyahu Kritzevsky, CEO of Oholei Yosef Yitzchok. “It is the central body overseeing Chabad education throughout the entire country. There is no parallel to this setup in the U.S. or even globally. All educational institutions fall under one umbrella—established by the Rebbe himself.”

Beyond its schools, the Reshet supports educators through its Shluchei Chinuch teacher training program, which grants Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. It also produces curricula and content for every Jewish holiday, runs camps with educational programming, and organizes conferences for teachers and students alike.

In 2015, the Reshet launched a groundbreaking Pedagogical Center—Chabad’s first centralized online platform—housing tens of thousands of worksheets, lessons, presentations, and assessments developed by educators in the network.

In these uncertain times for Eretz Yisroel, the Reshet’s mission is more vital than ever. Over the past year, the Reshet has faced unprecedented challenges, including missile strikes near its headquarters in Kfar Chabad and direct damage to one of its schools.

This Chag Hageulah we are celebrating with ACTION!

And just as the Rebbe would personally pray for each person who contributed to the magbis, this year, the names of all donors will be mentioned for prayer and blessing at the holy Ohel of the Rebbe and the Frierdiker Rebbe.
