Today: Chabad Minhag Can Change Lives of 40,000 Children in Eretz Yisroel

In Sefer Haminhagim, the authorized collection of Chabad customs, a special custom is recorded for Yud Beis Tammuz. Here’s what it is, and how to fulfill it.

The Rebbe’s Magbis is in full swing, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to receive the Rebbe’s special bracha: “For your generous contribution to Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch, may the Almighty bless you with long life, abundant nachas, and happiness.” [Letter, 28 Adar I, 5711]

Every year, at the farbrengen marking the Chag Hageulah of Yud Beis – Yud Gimmel Tammuz, the Rebbe would hold a special magbis for Oholei Yosef Yitzchok schools. He encouraged all chasidim to participate, including children, emphasizing how every contribution, no matter how small, is valuable.

This magbis supports The Reshet Oholei Yosef Yitzchok, a network of Chabad schools in Eretz Yisroel dedicated to authentic chinuch rooted in the Rebbe’s hashkafos for Jewish children of all backgrounds. With over 600 schools and 40,000 students, Reshet is transforming lives through Torah, Mitzvos, and a love for their Jewish identity. Your support means more schools, more classrooms, and more children reached through its incredible network.

Giving to these schools on Chag HaGeulah is a powerful way to celebrate this special day. It’s not only a meaningful act of tzedakah but also a fulfillment of an official Chabad minhag recorded in Sefer HaMinhagim. By participating, you’re honoring the legacy of the Frierdiker Rebbe and contributing to the future of Jewish education in Eretz Yisroel.

Just as the Rebbe davened on behalf of all those who participated in the magbis, The Reshet will mention the names of all donors at the Rebbe’s Ohel for this year’s magbis. Learn more at Therebbesmagbis.com.
