Students and friends will gather Thursday night to mark the shloshim of Rabbi Sholom Jacobson, who served as a mashpia in Crown Heights and dedicated his life to disseminating the Rebbe‘s Torah.

The gathering will be held on Thursday evening, Chai Elul, August 26th, at 935 Eastern Parkway, at 8:00 PM. Men and women are invited.

Guest speakers will include Rabbi Simon Jacobson and Rabbi Baruch Jacobson who will share memories and words of inspiration. A family member will make a siyum on Mishnayos.

From when he was a bochur, Rabbi Jacobson dedicated his life to disseminating the Rebbe‘s Torah. He was among the founders of Vaad L’hafotzas Sichos, which was created to prepare, publish and distribute the Rebbe’s sichos. For over four decades, he served as a member of the Vaad, doing his utmost to bring Likkutei Sichos and the other works of the Rebbe to the Chabad chassidim, and to the wider Jewish world.

When the Rebbe began encouraging the printing of Tanya in every location where Yidden live, Rabbi Jacobson took an active role in the printings, and was appointed to assign a number to each Tanya printed.
