Thousands of Chassidishe yungeleit and bochurim from the Mayonei Yisroel Chassidus network participated in dozens of farbrengens across more than 20 cities in Eretz Yisroel in honor of Yud Tes Kislev, celebrated as the “Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus.”
The central farbrengen and grand seuda took place on Tuesday night in Yerushalayim, led by mashpia Rabbi Zalman Gopin of Kfar Chabad. Thousands of chassidim from various chasidus groups attended, with the farbrengen continuing into the early hours of the morning.
On Shabbos afternoon, a large farbrengen was held with the Chief Rabbi of the Russian Shluchim, Rabbi Berel Lazar, followed by another farbrengen for hundreds of bochurim with Kfar Chabad Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Moshe Wolberg.
Farbrengens took place throughout Eretz Yisroel in Mayonei Yisroel shuls, attended by thousands more, including special gatherings for bochurim, American bochurim, and kollel yungerlait.
Rabbi Chaim Sholom Deitsch, Rosh Kollel of the Tzemach Tzedek Kollel and mashpia at Mayonei Yisroel, delivered extensive shiurim in the Alter Rebbe’s Chassidus over Shabbos.
A highlight of the Yud Tes Kislev programming was the large Yiddish children’s rally on Tuesday in Yerushalayim, attended by hundreds of chassidishe children.
The rally opened with the recital of the 12 pesukim and divrei hisorerus, followed by a captivating retelling of the Yud Tes Kislev story by a master storyteller, accompanied by live sand drawing. The children also enjoyed a special farbrengen with Rabbi Gopin and concluded the event with raffles and prizes.
Participants of the Yud Tes Kislev farbrengens left strengthened and inspired, making hachlatos to study Chassidus, follow the darkei haChassidus, enhance their avodas hatfilah, and strengthen their hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
