This year saw a huge turnover at the yearly Simchas Beis Hashoeiva event in the Chabad neighborhood of Yerushalayim. Organized by Tzeirei Agudas Chabad, the event featured world-renowned Chazzan Helfgot and other renowned singers with an accompanying orchestra.
The annual Simchas Beis HaShoeva celebration in Yerushalayim, held in the plaza of the Chabad shul in the Chabad neighborhood, saw a significant increase in attendance this year, with thousands of participants from across the country taking part. The event was organized by Tzeirei Agudas Chabad of Yerushalayim.
On a large decorated stage, singers Motti Goldman, Avraham Moskowitz, and Yossel’a Krischevsky, along with the world-renowned chazan R’ Binyamin Helfgot, brought great simcha and energized the large crowd. The dancing, which continued for hours, was accompanied by the keyboardist Rabbi Avremi Cohen and his orchestra. In the background, a large screen displayed video clips of the Rebbe clapping and encouraging the singing of niggunim.
Many attendees felt that this year marked a revival of the grand Simchas Beis HaShoeva, a celebration held for decades with the Rebbe’s brochos, attracting tens of thousands of men, women, and children from all communities and backgrounds.
The event was opened with heartfelt words by Rabbi Naftali Roth, chairman of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad in Jerusalem, who warmly welcomed the crowd and invited everyone to join in the joyful dancing. In his speech, he emphasized the value, significance, and importance of simcha.
Chabad’s representative in the Jerusalem Municipality, Rabbi Yaakov Halperin, greeted the attendees and thanked the municipality and the Department of Religious Culture for their support and funding, which contributed to the event’s success.
The event featured performances by “The Hop Kazak” singers as well as an impressive show by the dancer Rabbi Meir Lebel, which included remarkable fire juggling just as they had by the beis hamikdash. Due to current regulations, regular fireworks were prohibited; instead, a colorful and dazzling confetti show took place, enhancing the unique and exciting atmosphere.
During the event, 12 children from Tzivos Hashem took the stage one by one to recite the 12 Torah Pesukim and offer prayers for the safety of the hostages and the success of the security forces.
The event was organized and executed by the Yerushalayim community leader Rabbi Shlomo Shochet, who dedicated his full efforts to the success of the event, alongside Rabbi Noam Roth, CEO of Tzeirei Agudat Chabad of Jerusalem, and Rabbi Yisrael Cohen, director of the Torat Emes institutions.
