These Young Students Had Their ‘Areinfirenish’ at Home

Children of Shluchim from around the world were excited to begin their first day at the Shluchim Office Online School. Young students had a virtual “areinfirenish” in their own homes during which they licked honey off Alef Beis and read letters from a Tanya shaar blatt.

Children of Shluchim from around the world were welcomed on their first day at the Nigri International Online School of the Shluchim Office.

The Nigri Shluchim Online School serves the children of Shluchim in all four corners of the globe, hosting two divisions for both Hebrew and English speaking students.

“It is a joy to welcome our students back for the new year of learning,” shared Associate Director Morah Devora Leah Weiss. “We know how vital the Chassidishe Chinuch is and how meaningful their social connections are. These boys and girls will not only spend a year as classmates but will grow together in their pride as Shluchim, and create lasting friendships for years to come.

Although they won’t be together in a real classroom, the school puts emphasis on creating a warm, Chassidishe environment that gives the feeling of an in-person experience for all their students.

“As we begin our school year it’s important to remember the special Shlichus we have in educating young Shluchim and Shluchos,” said boys principal Rabbi Yehoshua Steinberg. “We are so grateful for our talented Rabbeim and staff for creating such a positive and Chassidishe environment.”

The Nigri Shluchim International Online School is a project of the Shluchim Office.
