The Rebbe’s Rare Promise: Up to 500 Times!
Once a year, we have the unique opportunity to give the Rebbe something truly personal: to honor his father on his yahrzeit. This is a rare zechus – and a source of extraordinary blessings.
Once a year, we have the unique opportunity to give the Rebbe something truly personal: to honor his father on his yahrzeit. This is a rare zechus – and a source of extraordinary blessings.
We invite you to take part in the Chof Av campaign in honor of the illustrious Kabbalist and Chassid, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, supporting the Chabad-Lubavitch institutions that operate near his holy resting place in Kazakhstan. This is a rare zechus – and a source of extraordinary blessings.
The Rebbe personally worked to preserve his father’s legacy – publishing his writings, establishing the holy tziyun in Alma Ata, and expressing heartfelt gratitude to all who assisted in matters connected to his saintly father. Each year, on Chof Av, the Rebbe held a special appeal, requesting from the depths of his heart:
“Donate le’ilui nishmaso, who had mesirus nefesh to spread Yiddishkeit” – and he gave a rare promise:
“Hashem will surely add in His blessings to each one… up to five hundred times as much.”
Following this, the Rebbe led the niggun: “V’harikosi lachem bracha ad bli dai.”
How precious to the Rebbe is anything connected to the honor and name of his father!
Here, on the very soil of his exile, we continue his holy work.
Rabbi Levi Yitzchak was sentenced to five years of exile in Kazakhstan for “spreading Judaism.” In the remote village of Chi’ali, under harsh conditions, he continued teaching Torah – even writing his insights in the margins of a Zohar. He inspired fellow exiles, guided Jews in secrecy, and after five years was allowed to move to Alma Ata. There, on Chof Av 5704 (1944), he passed away and was laid to rest – exile within exile.
In the very place where he worked in secrecy, the Rebbe’s shluchim now proudly spread Yiddishkeit.
By joining the Chof Av campaign, you become a living link in the chain of mesirus nefesh. You partner with the Rebbe’s shluchim, who are bringing Yiddishkeit to every corner of Kazakhstan. Thousands of visitors from around the globe come to daven at the tziyun, and the upkeep of this holy place continues year-round – bringing nachas to his son, the Rebbe.
Just a short walk from the tziyun stands the Central Chabad House of Alma Ata, radiating Yiddishkeit throughout Kazakhstan – from the capital, Astana, to Shymkent, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Kostanay, and Ust-Kamenogorsk. The activities are vibrant and far-reaching: Torah classes, Jewish education, yom tov celebrations, and full Jewish community life – all infused with Chassidishe warmth, a direct continuation of the legacy of the tzaddik who sowed here with tears.
Here in Kazakhstan, he gave his life. Here, we will continue his legacy.
This is the Rebbe’s blessing and promise: when you give generously – you are blessed generously – up to 500 times! Each year we receive incredible stories of miraculous yeshuos from donors.
