A special event was held on Monday at Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu‘s Office in Yerushalayim, ahead of Rosh Hashanah, with the participation of the office staff. The program was arranged by Mrs. Devorah Ravid, a longtime staff member, who invited Rabbi Or Ziv, shliach to the Katamon neighborhood, as guest speaker.
Rabbi Ziv has maintained close ties with the staff and, together with Mrs. Ravid, founded a study group for Chassidus learning at the office, which continues to this day with a weekly shiur. Through it, the employees have been able to draw inspiration from Chassidus and take part in the Rebbe’s mivtzoim.
At the gathering, Rabbi Ziv affixed a mezuzah and addressed the participants, speaking about the avodah of Elul and the preparations for Rosh Hashanah with insights from Chassidus. The event also included the sounding of the shofar for the month of Elul.
Particularly striking was the sight of the Rebbe’s picture, respectfully displayed in a place of honor at the Prime Minister’s Office for the occasion.
Ever since Bibi meet with the Rebbe, he has followed every directive the Rebbe gave him, even when it put him in hard political situations, but he overcame every challenge and remains dedicated to fulfilling the Rebbe’s directives.
What about giving away chevron like a lemechel?…. And the message the Rebbe sent him in 5752 about being strong in shleimus Haaretz that he didn’t exactly keep…
ויה״ר שיתמו חטאים מן הארץ בקרוב ממש
The list goes on and on there is bli gvul cases which he didn’t listen to the rebbe
Perhaps. But still better than any of his predecessors. While he’s also dealing with nasty lefty opposition
Wow that’s a drastic statement. Shamir? (I won’t say he was perfect, but I wouldn’t either say bibi is better…) And others
