The News Made Moshiach Seem Distant – Until This Book

Lately, every post I scroll past seems to tell the same story of chaos and conflict. It’s hard to feel like we’re getting closer to Moshiach when the headlines scream tragedies. And then… I picked up ‘Swords into Plowshares’ by Professor Shimon Silman and everything shifted.

I didn’t expect a scientific book to change me. But page after page, I started feeling hopeful, calmer, and more excited to see the Geula unfolding before my eyes.

Professor Silman writes with the precision of a scientist and the soul of a Chassid. He takes what the prophets said thousands of years ago — “Swords into plowshares” — and shows how it’s literally happening in front of us today.

I mean:

  • Watch as terrifying nuclear missile bases in Ukraine are blown up and replaced by beautiful, golden fields of sunflowers.
  • See massive Russian tanks stripped of their turrets and reborn as giant plows that can prepare a farm ten times faster than a regular tractor.
  • Discover how military drones are being used to “machine-gun” one billion tree seeds into the earth to heal our forests.

As I was reading, I couldn’t help but wonder:

“How have I not seen this before?”

But the news doesn’t frame it the same way Professor Silman does. He acts almost like a Messianic GPS, pointing out that these aren’t random events. They are exactly what the prophets told us would happen at the end of days.

Who Is the Man Behind the Book? Professor Silman is a mathematics professor at Touro University and the founder of the RYAL Institute (named after the Rebbe MHM’s brother). His work is fueled by decades of personal inspiration and encounters with the Rebbe himself. You can feel it on every page. This isn’t an academic book. It’s a mission.

There are over 350 pages packed with stories and sources to make you sit back and say, “Wow… this is real.”

Instead of feeling like everything is falling apart, I finally see that everything is coming together.

And that’s a gift.

If you want something inspiring, this book is for you. It’s also a beautiful gift for someone who may need a little reminder that HaShem is running the world — and running it toward Geulah.
