Authored by Rabbi Tzvi Freeman, senior editor at Chabad.org and acclaimed author of numerous Chassidus essays, and Rabbi Levi Dubov, shliach in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, a new groundbreaking translation of the Tanya will be published in weekly installments through Chabad.org and then published as a book.

What sets this translation apart is its groundbreaking approach to practical application. Instead of getting lost in the intricate maze of concepts, it zeros in on the driving questions that every person naturally grapples with: What does it mean to be a beinoni in practice? How do we battle our yetzer hara in a world of endless distractions? What does this mean for my avodas Hashem? How can I implement these teachings in my day-to-day life?

Each concept is illuminated through real-life anecdotes that speak to both the heart and mind, sharing the lessons from the Tanya through short, yet enjoyable stories.

The visual presentation itself is a breath of fresh air. Clean, modern typography makes the words more accessible to today’s learners. Thoughtfully designed charts and graphics serve as windows into complex concepts like the Sefiros or the structure of the tzimtzum.

Navigation becomes intuitive through clear subheadings that act as signposts in your learning journey. Each section opens with a preview of what’s to come and closes with a summary of what you’ve learned, ensuring you always know where you stand in your understanding of the concept at hand.

“I used this as a base for my Tanya shiur,” shares Rabbi Avraham Bekhor, Director of Chabad of Randolph, NJ. “It was remarkably effective in clarifying the essential points of Tanya in a way that speaks to today’s generation.”

Rochel Schmuckler, a mechaneches in Los Angeles, adds, “This commentary makes the profound teachings of the Tanya accessible to modern thinkers. Whether I’m learning for myself or preparing to teach others, it’s an invaluable resource that bridges the gap between deep concepts and practical understanding.”

The result is nothing short of a revolution in Tanya study – One that makes the study of Tanya a joy to learn.
