This past Sukkos, a sukkah mobile made its way through the streets of London, in an initiative led by Lubavitch Stamford Hill to give every yid in the city the opportunity to shake lulav and eat in a sukkah.
In a heartfelt effort to enhance the Sukkos experience, Lubavitch Stamford Hill launched a mobile sukkah initiative that traveled throughout London, providing over 50 individuals with the opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of benching lulav and dining in a sukkah. This unique initiative aimed to make the joy and significance of Sukkos accessible to all.
The mobile sukkah made its way through different neighborhoods, inviting everyone to join in the joy of Sukkos. People loved having the chance to shake the lulav, make a brocho on their food in the sukkah, and enjoy thoughtfully prepared snacks. It was a simple yet powerful way to bring the community together and celebrate sukkos.
“We believe in making the mitzvos accessible to everyone,” said Rabbi Mendel Sudak. “Our mobile sukkah allowed us to reach people across London who may not have had the opportunity to experience Sukkos in a traditional setting. It was heartwarming to see so many come together to celebrate and connect.”
The initiative did more than just provide a place for making a brocho on the arba minim; it brought a true sense of achdus, gathering Yidden from all walks of life. The participants shared inspiring lessons and stories related to the yom tov of sukkos.
A special thank you to all the sponsors and volunteers who made this initiative possible and to everyone who participated, helping to make this Sukkos a memorable and meaningful experience.
