Nearly 200 bochurim arrived at Suffield Yeshiva for the new year, where they were greeted by new members of the Hanhala, new Batei Medrash for the Mesivta and Yeshiva Gedola, and other exciting developments.
Suffield Yeshiva opened the new year with several exciting developments in both its Mesivta and Yeshiva Gedola divisions.
The Yeshiva Gedola, which had previously been located in the library, has now moved into the main zal, while the Mesivta has relocated into its newly built Mesivta Zal. These changes allow each division to function at full capacity and restore the library to its intended role as a proper library and otzar ha’sforim.
The yeshiva also welcomed a number of new members of hanhala, reflecting its steady growth. In the Mesivta, Rabbi Shneur Ginsburg joined as menahel and mashpia for Chassidus Erev in Shiur Gimmel, working alongside Rosh Mesivta Rabbi Menachem Fogelman. Rabbi Shneur Vogel has taken on the role of maggid shiur for Shiur Alef Gemara and Girsa, while Rabbi Shuki Avtzon joined as mashpia for Shiur Alef together with Rabbi Mendel Sorkin. Rabbi Shneur Schapiro continues as mashpia for Shiur Beis, where Rabbi Avremy Wolf also remains as maggid shiur. Rabbi Mendel Krasnianski has joined as maggid shiur iyun for both Shiur Beis and Shiur Gimmel, while Chassidus in Shiur Gimmel is taught by Rabbi Mendel Edelman in the mornings, with Rabbi Ginsburg delivering the evening shiur. While Rabbi Mendel Gootblatt serves as sgan menahel.
In the Yeshiva Gedola, Rabbi Yosef Greenbaum has joined as maggid shiur, together with Rabbi Menachem Wagner, who also serves as sgan menahel. Rabbi Bentzion Bluming continues in his role as menahel, rosh yeshiva, and dean, while Rabbi Mendel Light serves as mashgiach.
Behind the scenes, the dedicated staff keep the yeshiva running smoothly, including Chef Danny Arroyo and kitchen manager Dovi Deistch with their team, and Nissen Eichorn, who serves as menahel gashmi.
“Baruch Hashem, we continue to see incredible growth in the yeshiva, with nearly two hundred bochurim across the divisions,” says Rabbi Bluming. “All that remains is to do our utmost to ensure they will each have a successful year in learning and growing in darkei hachassidus.”
