The Joy Movement is proud to present 32 Glimpses of Geulah, Beyond Anything You Could Have Imagined. A coffee table album with stirring poetry, prose and art, written during the hostage crisis – but designated for the post-hostage era.

It started as a spur-of-the-moment initiative to free the hostages – and turned into an international art and writing contest on visualizing Geula.

And then… into an attractive anthology with curated selections of beautiful art, and stirring poetry and prose. The pieces are deep, passionate, hold our emotions and heal our hearts, emerging from deep-thinking women and girls ages 7-70, from five continents.  

It took almost two years with endless delays. But look at the timing…

Incredibly, the project’s two major milestones coincided with major hostage release milestones:

·         The day after the contest winners were announced, four hostages were rescued the next day in a daring, high-risk operation. (Erev Shavuos 5784)        

·         The anthology was released for sale on the 9^th of Shvat, sandwiched right between the days the last hostage was returned (8^th of Shvat, and buried the 10^th of Shvat).

The wink from above is unmistakable.

All those delays were Divinely timed – the book was clearly intended for the post-hostage era!

This is not just a study of what’s past. The hostages’ ordeals remain an icon for us: We are all captives! We must maintain our intensity to be liberated from galus!

 We cannot rest until everyone lives with a light and joy ‘beyond anything we could have imagined.’
