More than 2,000 people took part in the largest Pesach Seder in South America, hosted by Chabad of Cusco, Peru.

The Seder was organized by Rabbi Ofer and Yael Kripor, who this year are marking 20 years of shlichus in Cusco. The event was held in a special hall in the city, where a massive crowd of Jewish travelers and visitors gathered for the Yom Tov.

Located high in the Andes, Cusco has become a major stop for Jewish travelers, and Chabad of Cusco has become a well-known address for Pesach, especially for young people traveling through South America.

Hosting such a large Seder in Peru requires major preparation, including bringing in matzah and kosher food and arranging for the needs of a crowd of this size. Despite the challenge, Chabad of Cusco once again succeeded in providing a full Pesach experience for the many guests who came to celebrate.

Set in the historic city of Cusco, the Seder brought together Jews from around the world for a Yom Tov seudah filled with Yiddishkeit, warmth, and a strong sense of community.

For Chabad of Cusco, this year’s turnout marked their biggest Seder yet, and a major milestone in two decades of dedicated shlichus in South America.
