Soul-Stirring Selichos Recited in Moscow

Following an uplifting farbrengen, hundreds recited selichos at the Marina Roshcha shul in Moscow, while a group of the shul’s members spent Shabbos Selichos with Rabbi Berel Lazar in New York following their annual custom.

Numerous Selichos minyanim were held at midnight on Motzei Shabbos in Moscow, the capital of Russia.

Accompanied by a large group of approximately one hundred supporters and associates, Russia’s Chief Rabbi, HaGaon Rabbi Berel Lazar, traveled to participate in the Shabbos of Selichos at the Rebbe’s court in New York.

Photographer Levi Nazerov presents a gallery of images from the Selichot service at the central “Marina Roshcha” shul in the heart of Moscow, where hundreds of Jews gathered for a farbrengen in preparation for the Selichot.

At precisely midnight, the Selichos were recited with great fervor and emotion, as the chazan Rabbi Eliezer Mordechai Koenig, led the congregation in a heartfelt recitation of Selichos that lasted for an hour.
