Simcha Must Be in Every Area

In preparation for Gimmel Tammuz, we present you each day with a unique short quote from the Rebbe. Prepared by Rabbi Pesach Schmerling, shliach in Far Rockaway, NY.

***

When combining two rulings of our Torah, the Torah of Life, – one being the dictum that serving Hashem must be done with joy, and the other the dictum that serving Hashem has to be performed ‘in all your ways’ – it then follows that joy and gladness is called for in every area of life. (This can be connected to the approach of the Baal Shem Tov regarding hashgachah pratis, as explained in chassidus, how every single action fulfills the intention of the Divine Will.)
