The latest volume of the Weiss Edition of the Shluchan Aruch in English, containing the Halachos of the Seder Night, will arrive in time for Pesach.
For the past year, the Sichos in English editorial team, headed by Rabbis Eli Touger and Sholom Ber Wineberg, has been working around the clock to get the latest volume of the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch on the shelves in time for Yom Tov. Volume 8 of the Shulchan Aruch, containing the second half of Hilchos Pesach and the Halachos of the Seder Night, was due to arrive right after Purim of this year. However, due to the sudden disruption of daily life brought on by COVID-19, a series of supply chain delays threatened to push the release date back several months.
With Pesach fast approaching, Rabbi Shmuly Avtzon, together with the SIE team, worked tirelessly to ensure that 200 volumes of the new sefer would still be printed and shipped in time for the holiday.
“This year especially, it is important that we seize every opportunity to make our Yom Tov more meaningful,” said Rabbi Avtzon, “So there was no question that we would do everything in our power to get the Shulchan Aruch to people’s homes in time for their Sedarim.”
While those who pre-ordered the entire Shulchan Aruch set will receive their volume when the full shipment arrives, a limited number of copies of this latest volume is currently on the shelves, ready to be shipped. Following government and health regulations, the new volumes will be mailed directly to your doorstep, and should arrive before Yom Tov.
