This weekly iyun podcast is for you!

With the aim of making in-depth Torah study accessible, engaging, relevant and geshmak to all, the Tzfunot Institute is presenting a weekly iyun podcast focusing primarily on the Rebbe’s Torah and the Rogatchover.

The weekly insights will present several principles and learning methods for learning a sicha b’iyun, showing the Rebbe’s precision in every detail of the sicha. Using a variety of examples, listeners will gain over time a derech halimud on how to be medayek and uncover new depth in a sicha.

Other insights will be deciphering the Rogatchover’s teachings on various topics. In addition to bringing to light the uniqueness of the Rogatchover’s lomdus and novel approach to Torah, the weekly podcast will highlight the Rebbe’s unique relationship with the Rogatchover and decipher some of the hundreds of references made to the Rogatchover in the footnotes of Likkutei Sichos.

The podcast will be taught by Rabbi Binyomin Bitton, director of the Tzfunot Institute, and will be made available weekly on Anash.org.

Ep. 1: The Rogatchover on the mechanism of Rabbinical enactments

In this episode, we will decipher the Rogatchover’s approach on the mechanism of Rabbinical enactments, and how the Rebbe applies this concept further on the machlokes in the poskim with regards to bishul akum.

Ep. 2: What was the issue with Shvor Malka’s knife?

This episode will present a comprehensive overview of the opinions in the poskim with regards to kashering a knife. Based on footnotes 13-14, this episode serves as a fundamental introduction to the hadran.

Ep. 3: Shvor Malka, Rav Yehuda, Bati and the Esrog

This episode will present a summary of the Rebbe’s questions and answers on the Talmud story recorded at the end of Tractate Avodah Zarah.

 

Ep. 4: Analyzing a Reference to the Ritva

This episode will analyze a reference the Rebbe makes to the Ritva in tracates Avodah Zarah and Niddah, and will suggest a possible diyuk in the Sicha.

Ep. 5: Exploring the Details of the Story

In this episode, we will explore how every ‘minor’ detail of the story can be explained according to the Rebbe’s chiddush.
