Celebrations of the Rebbe’s 120th birthday kicked off at the Rebbe’s Ohel Monday night with a unique gathering marking the founding of 1,210 new mosdos in honor of the milestone.
The incredible number of new mosdos were founded and pledged in the months leading up to Yud Alef Nissan by shluchim around the globe, inspired by the Rebbe’s request for his 70th year.
As night set on the auspicious day, a delegation of Shluchim entered the Rebbe’s Ohel and presented the Rebbe with a Duch of all the new initiatives launched.
This was followed by a festive farbrengen addressed by shluchim Rabbi Berel Lazar, Rabbi Yisroel Shmotkin, Rabbi Kasriel Shemtov, Rabbi Yosef Greenberg, Rabbi Dovid Weitman, and Rabbi Levi Danow.
