Rabbi Dovid Teictel, the Rebbe’s shliach at the University of Illinois, recently became the target of a disturbing campaign of hate. Flyers posted around campus carried a picture of him with messages reading, “Come support ethnic cleansing with Chabad!!” and “Welcome war criminals with open arms at Chabad!” after he was photographed with IDF soldier Daniel Raab, who is being bloodlibeled for murdering a boy in Gaza.
Despite the baseless attacks and their apparent intent to intimidate, Rabbi Teictel has vowed that neither he nor Chabad will be silenced.
“Tonight, we’re going to double. We’re going to work to reach every last student. Those who try to silence us will not succeed. They’ll only make us louder,” Rabbi Teictel said in a video posted to social media.
“The Jewish students on campus need us now more than ever. We need you, we need ourselves, we need each other to stand tall. We will stand tall, we will stand proud, and louder than ever before.”
