Attesting to the rapid growth and expansion of Crown Heights into East Flatbush, a full supermarket has opened its doors today on the corner of Albany and Rutland, an area that just a few years ago was considered way out of town.
The supermarket, which is a branch of Shimmy’s/Koshertown, located for many years on Empire and Albany, contains a large selection of grocery items, as well as sandwiches and other freshly made food.
The store is large and well-designed, and makes kosher food easily accessible for the hundreds of young families who live in the vicinity.
